Westwood Mine
The Westwood gold project is located on the Doyon property in the municipality of Preissac, in Bousquet Township, approximately 40 km east of the town of Rouyn-Noranda, in the province of Québec, Canada.The first reported exploration activities in the Cadillac area date back to 1910. Mineralization at Doyon was discovered in the 1960's by the prospector Arthur Doyon.The Westwood project is planned for commercial production in early 2013. Wolverine zinc-silver mine is located 190 kilometers northwest of Watson Lake in southeast Yukon Territory, Canada. The mine is owned by Yukon Zinc Corporation a private company majority owned by JDC (Jinduicheng Molybdenum Group Mining Co., Ltd ). JDC is the top Asian molybdenum producer and the same time the world’s third largest molybdenum producer.Wolverine is an underground mine that has on-site milling capabilities of 1,700 tonnes per day to produce zinc, copper and lead concentrate. The mill was commissioned in 2010 and as of 2012 production is increasing to design capacity. The Camino Rojo mine is one of the largest silver-gold mines in Mexico and in the world. The mine is located in the center of the country in Zacatecas. It was discovered in 2007 by two Canplats geologists. The mine has estimated reserves of 1.63 million oz of gold and 32.07 million oz of silver. | Dolores mine
The Dolores mine is located in the Municipality of Madera, about 94 km by road southwest of the town of Madera, and 250 km west of the city of Chihuahua, Mexico.Mining in the Dolores region started in the 1800s. Mechanized production occurred between 1915 and 1929, with no records of any production since that time. Incomplete mining records from 1922 to 1931 indicate that total production during this time was 117,000 ounces of gold and 6.7 million ounces of silver. The district then remained idle until 1993.
