The Ruby Hill mine is located on the Battle Mountain/Eureka gold trend, less than one kilometer from the town of Eureka and 193 kilometres south of the Goldstrike Property.Mined intermittently from 1860 up to the 1980s, the Ruby Hill mining area then sat dormant for a number of years. In 1997, Homestake Mining Company sought and received a permit to establish on open-pit mine at the old mine site. In 2001, Barrick acquired the mine through a merger with Homestake.
